Scapula F, the fork with integrated brake

Scapula F, the fork with integrated brake and the Fibula braking system were admired by many visitors to the Eurobike fair.

Scapula F unites perfect aerodynamics and excellent braking effect thanks to a totally integrated V-brake. The carbon fibre reinforced brake levers are positioned at the fork inside. Scapula F will probably have a total weight of approx. 330 g including the brake – a weight that most of the forks do not even reach without brake!
Like its sister Scapula SP, the Scapula F has an extreme specific lateral rigidity which considerably improves braking behaviour, safety and stability.

Scapula F will be available in spring 2009 at a presumable price of € 1100.--.

The Fibula braking system

The Fibula braking system is an ideal combination of excellent braking properties and light construction based on carbon fibre technology. On the front wheel, brake power is intensified by a unique lever system with 1.5 to 1 ratio ensuring very high brake forces with a low operating force. The reduced ratio on the rear wheel brake gives a favourable distribution of the brake power. This braking system is particularly suitable for carbon rims because the high ratio compensates the lower friction values of the carbon rim flank.

The Fibula brake kit will be available in spring 2009 at a presumable price of € 900.--.

The system will have a weight of approx. 100 g. The light rear wheel brake (approx. 45 g) is an ideal complement to the Scapula F.
